I’m currently offering lessons on guitar and mandolin to beginner and intermediate students.  My diverse musical background began with a foundation in jazz guitar, but I specialize in flatpicking and finger-style guitar, as well as bluegrass/old-time mandolin.  I also offer instruction in song accompaniment for a variety of styles.  Lesson plans are crafted to meet your specific goals, whether you’re an intermediate player looking for new inspiration or are just starting out and hoping to get a few songs and tunes in your repertoire to play with others. Topics we can cover include technique and fundamentals on your instrument, music theory, improvisation, practice methods, and learning tunes and songs from a variety of styles by ear and/or from written notation.  I’m excited to discuss any aspects of music that interest you!   Lessons can be on a one-off basis or scheduled weekly.
